Munich/Berlin – For the second year in a row, DR.SCHNELL has won the prestigious Purus Innovation Award, the most coveted industry award of its time, which is presented during the CMS trade show in Berlin. This year’s winner in the cleaning products category is the innovative sanitary cleaner MILIZID ONE, which DR.SCHNELL is introducing as a world first at CMS 2025.
As part of CMS Berlin 2025, the leading trade show for cleaning and hygiene, the Purus Innovation Award recognizes outstanding innovations in the cleaning industry. In the cleaning products category, this year’s winner is MILIZID ONE, the next-generation sanitary cleaner from DR.SCHNELL. This marks the second consecutive year that DR.SCHNELL has won this prestigious award.

The innovative MILIZID ONE sanitary cleaner is the first methanesulfonic acid-based sanitary cleaner made exclusively from renewable raw materials. Of the carbon contained in the product, 47% comes from certified mass-balanced processes (e.g., the world’s first RedCert 2 mass-balanced methanesulfonic acid), while the remaining 53% of the carbon content comes from directly renewable sources such as insect oils or crop residues. Its effectiveness is in no way inferior to its eco-friendly nature: No fossil-based ingredients—this reduces the carbon footprint**, shortens supply chains, and transforms cleaning in a sustainable way.

This product also features the proven EASY-to-CLEAN effect, a hallmark of DR.SCHNELL. This process, which we developed, reduces the rate at which surfaces become soiled again, thereby either shortening the time required for routine cleaning or extending the intervals between cleanings.
MILIZID ONE is a highly concentrated formula that significantly reduces usage—for resource-efficient restroom cleaning without changing your cleaning routine.
Back in 2023, DR.SCHNELL had already been awarded the CMS Purus Innovation Award in the then-new category of cleaning products. The award recognized the water-soluble ECOLUTION FLOOR PODS—a daily cleaning concentrate that not only reduces CO2 emissions but also generates less packaging waste and enables significant savings in storage space.
