DR.SCHNELL wins coveted Purus Innovation Award once again
After 2023, DR.SCHNELL will also receive the prestigious award in 2025 – for its MILIZID ONE sanitary cleaner.

Munich/Berlin – For the second time in a row, DR.SCHNELL has won the prestigious Purus Innovation Award, the most coveted industry award of its time, which is presented during the CMS trade fair in Berlin. This year's winner in the cleaning agent category is the innovative sanitary cleaner MILIZID ONE, which DR.SCHNELL is presenting as a world first at CMS 2025. As part of CMS Berlin 2025, the leading trade fair for cleaning and hygiene, the Purus Innovation Award honors outstanding innovations in the cleaning industry. This year's winner in the cleaning products category is MILIZID ONE, the advanced sanitary cleaner from DR.SCHNELL. This is the second time in a row that DR.SCHNELL has won this prestigious award.

"We are absolutely thrilled that our innovative strength has been recognized in this way by the Purus Innovation Award 2025," says Dr. Thomas Schnell, managing director of the Munich-based company. "This means a lot to us and we are delighted to receive this award for our new MILIZID ONE. It is a great product that clearly represents our philosophy: sustainable innovation and conscious action for people and nature."

The innovative sanitary cleaner MILIZID ONE is the first methane sulfonic acid-based sanitary cleaner made exclusively from renewable raw materials. 47% of the carbon contained in the product comes from certified mass-balanced processes (e.g., RedCert 2 mass-balanced methanesulfonic acid, a world first), while the remaining 53% comes from directly renewable sources such as insect oils or crop waste. Its effectiveness is in no way inferior to its environmentally friendly character: no fossil-based ingredients – this reduces the CO2 footprint**, shortens supply chains, and changes cleaning in a sustainable way.

"We offer our customers proven, effective cleaning chemicals," says Dr. Axel Schloßbauer, Head of Product Systems at DR.SCHNELL. "MILIZID ONE is proof that we are initiating new manufacturing processes with biogenic raw materials – together with powerful partners in the chemical industry. This sanitary cleaner makes no compromises in terms of component diversity, supply chain, and performance. We are proud of MILIZID ONE."

This product also features the proven EASY-to-CLEAN effect that DR.SCHNELL is known for. This process, developed by us, reduces re-soiling, which either shortens the cleaning time in maintenance cleaning or allows cleaning intervals to be extended.

MILIZID ONE is a highly concentrated product with noticeably reduced consumption – for resource-saving sanitary cleaning without changing cleaning habits.

DR.SCHNELL had already received the CMS Purus Innovation Award in 2023 in the then new category of cleaning agents. The award was given for the water-soluble ECOLUTION FLOOR PODS – a maintenance cleaning concentrate that not only saves CO2, but also causes less packaging waste and enables significant storage space savings.

At CMS 2025, DR.SCHNELL is underlining its commitment to redesigning professional cleaning and hygiene with the guiding principle "We are changing." The focus is on innovative and environmentally friendly products based on renewable rather than fossil ingredients. In doing so, the company is consciously taking responsibility for people and nature and making an important contribution to more sustainable processes, hygiene, and cleaning.
