In our regularly published environmental statement, we provide transparent information about the environmental goals we have achieved and the measures we have taken in the past to achieve them, as well as an outlook on the company's objectives and the steps necessary to achieve them.
Based on our environmental commitment, we define our environmental goals, which we pursue with appropriate measures.
• New products will only be launched on the market with a Type I eco-label, provided that a corresponding category exists.
• Each year, an additional product with a Type I eco-label will be launched on the market.
• All products already certified with a Type I eco-label will be recertified.
• The share of sales of products with a Type I eco-label is to be increased by 40% each year.
What we have achieved so far:
• 2023 Certification of the SCHIROCCO CLEAN maintenance, intensive, and basic cleaner with the EU Ecolabel.
• 2022 Introduction of the surfactant-free, neutral universal cleaner EASY QUICK N, awarded the EU Ecolabel.
• 2021 Introduction of the ecological alcohol-based shine cleaner for floors and surfaces, LEVANTE ECO. Awarded the EU Ecolabel and Cradle to Cradle Gold, LEVANTE ECO is part of the ECO-COLLECTION and saves 21% CO2* compared to the standard product.
• 2019 Introduction of the ECOLUTION product system: We assume that one ECOLUTION FOROL STICK replaces one bottle of FOROLFEE. We also assume that one ECOLUTION MILIZID STICK replaces one bottle of MILIFEE. This results in savings in emissions and packaging materials. The remaining emissions are offset by Gold Standard-certified climate protection certificates.
• We also assume that one bottle of ECOLUTION MILIZID ultra-high concentrate replaces up to 5 bottles of MILIZID, and one bottle of ECOLUTION FOROL U

• The environmental and climate impact of packaging is to be further reduced. To this end, specific packaging emissions (SPE) will be reduced by 5% annually.
• The proportion of recycled material in the containers used is to be increased from 2.2% in 2021 to 50% by December 2023.
• The share of sales of products with Cradle to Cradle certification is to be increased by 40% each year.
What we have achieved so far:
• 2023 Conversion of several 1L container lid variants to 100% recycled plastic
• 2022: Discontinuation of colored PE containers and replacement with bottles and canisters containing 30% post-consumer recycled PE. This will result in savings of up to 18% in CO2* and plastics.
• 2022 Introduction of 10-liter containers made from 100% recycled material for all products in the ECO Collection (except hazardous goods). Each 10L recycled canister saves up to 56% CO2* compared to a standard DR.SCHNELL 10L container.
• 2019 Introduction of 100% recycled bottles for all products in the ECO Collection. Each 1-liter recycled container saves up to 56% CO2* compared to a standard DR.SCHNELL PE container (white).

• Implementation of the RCI (renewable carbon index) in the laboratory database
• Recording of the RCI value for 100% of formulations
• Increase in the RCI value by 10% by December 2023
What we have achieved so far:
• 100% conversion to bioethanol
• Use of rhamnolipid and expansion of its share in various product formulations. Rhamnolipids produce significantly less CO2* than standard fossil-based surfactants.

• The CO2* balance (corporate carbon footprint + product carbon footprint) is to be continuously reduced. The specific target is an annual reduction of 5% in specific CO2* emissions per kg of net sales items.
What we have achieved so far:
• Substitution of raw material suppliers with suppliers with shorter delivery routes from Austria and Germany (e.g., citric acid, amidosulfonic acid, bioethanol). This results in significant emissions savings due to shorter transport routes and energy-efficient manufacturing methods (for citric acid).
• Use of photovoltaics to power the Munich production site. Parts of the self-generated electricity are fed into the public grid. More than half of the electricity required for our production is generated in-house.
• Company mobility management – employee tickets for public transport have been subsidized by 50% since October 2020.
• Company mobility management – since October 2020, employee parking spaces are no longer free of charge but are rented out in order to further increase the attractiveness of public transport. (The funds generated are, of course, reinvested in the form of employee events and investments in sustainability goals, such as the expansion of charging stations for electric cars on the premises).
• Company mobility management – Replacement of 3 gasoline-powered vehicles with electric vehicles. Offsetting of fleet emissions through
