Question: MPV Medical is establishing robots in the healthcare sector. What exactly does that mean?
Simon Abstreiter: Cleaning robots are in high demand, especially in healthcare facilities, as issues such as health and hygiene play a central role there in particular. We provide nursing homes, hospitals, and other institutions with suitable cleaning robots and support them with application and service. We develop use cases based on the experiences of professionals and patients—for optimal use.
Question: Are cleaning robots THE NEXT BIG THING, or are we already in the middle of it?
Abstreiter: Absolutely! They are a big topic in the industry and we are right in the middle of it. Why? Because the use case is clear, development is becoming increasingly dynamic, and cleaning robots are hugely popular. Question: Who actually benefits from cleaning robots? The range is very wide. In healthcare facilities, they are used for wet cleaning – primarily because of their hygienic application. For us, what matters is that they can be integrated into everyday work. Because when users understand and accept the robot, operating and using it becomes child's play.
Question: How did you find out about DR.SCHNELL?
Abstreiter: Our robots are used in many facilities, including a Korian nursing home in Berlin – a DR.SCHNELL customer. During a service visit, Roland Lopin, healthcare consultant at DR.SCHNELL, discovered our robot. The rest is history. An intensive exchange followed, after which DR.SCHNELL developed a completely new cleaning product based on the practical experience it had gathered, which represents an absolute revolution.
Question: What are the strengths and advantages of the new product from DR.SCHNELL, which has been specially developed for robot cleaners?
Abstreiter: To date, there is no cleaning product specifically for these robots. Currently, most robots are filled with existing cleaning agents.
