Robotics expert calls ROBOLUTION a "revolution"
Giobotics CEO Dennis Dehring on the cleaning robot boom and ROBOLUTION's pioneering role.

The Kiel-based company Giobotics not only provides customers with robot solutions, but also tailor-made service concepts. Cleaning robots are also part of the portfolio. In this interview, Managing Director Dennis Dehring explains why the robot market is booming and why ROBOLUTION is such an immense asset.

Question: Mr. Dehring, how would you define Giobotics as a company?

Dennis Dehring: We see ourselves as an integrator for autonomous robotics concepts. We support our customers from a wide range of industries in automating their current analog processes by offering them robots in the areas of cleaning, support, and service. In this way, we are countering the shortage of skilled workers with autonomous solutions.

Question: How does that work?

Dehring: Giobotics imports robots from Asia and, thanks to our sales team, brings them to our customers. The robots clean in retirement homes, retail stores, schools, logistics centers, and other locations. We, in turn, advise, implement, integrate, train employees, and put the robots into operation. This makes it easier for companies to automate their processes. Question: Is the robot cleaner market currently booming, or is the boom imminent? Dehring: From our perspective, the market is booming enormously. Three years ago, people still smiled at our efforts – but today, technology has advanced so much that companies are enjoying enormous benefits from the robot boom and can clean their premises more cost-effectively and to a higher standard. For me, it's clear: we are at the beginning of a market explosion!

Question: But there are also opinions that cleaning robots will replace people. Do you share this opinion?

Dehring: On the one hand, it must unfortunately be said that, as we currently have an enormous shortage of skilled workers in the cleaning industry, robots cannot replace people at all because there are not enough people available. On the other hand, robots serve to optimize processes. They automatically take over the cleaning of large areas and free up time for companies and employees to tackle detailed cleaning tasks that machines cannot perform. In addition, projects become more predictable and efficient because the demand for cleaning agents, water, and electricity can be automatically recorded and documented. This offers advantages for service providers and companies.

Question: How and when did you first come into contact with DR.SCHNELL?

Dehring: That was over ten years ago. At the time, I was working for Igefa, which is how I got to know and appreciate the DR.SCHNELL portfolio. After the penultimate issue of the DR.SCHNELL newsletter, which dealt with robotics and ROBOLUTION, I received a lot of inquiries. And since I am familiar with DR.SCHNELL's coherent overall package, I knew that this would be a win-win situation for everyone. What makes ROBOLUTION so interesting for Giobotics?

Dehring:
We naturally want to recommend the right and optimal cleaning agent to our customers for whom we implement robotics. With ROBOLUTION, we know that it simply provides the best setup for most floor coverings and the robot. This means that, thanks to ROBOLUTION, we can offer our customers a coherent concept.

Question: Is ROBOLUTION a revolution in the field of cleaning robots?

Dehring:
Yes, ROBOLUTION is a revolution because, for the first time, operators and customers can now protect their robots. Service calls are reduced, the device lasts longer, and operates with far fewer malfunctions. This offers added value and synergies for all involved.

Question:  What does your future cooperation with DR.SCHNELL look like?

Dehring:
Our goal is to expand our cooperation with DR.SCHNELL and to permanently add ROBOLUTION to our portfolio and offer it to our customers. We are already delighted to have a partner in DR.SCHNELL who knows what matters in the cleaning industry and who protects our equipment with innovative products. Giobotics in figures
