What exactly is cradle to cradle?
Cradle to Cradle was developed by German chemist Michael Braungart and American architect William McDonough and is an approach to a consistent and comprehensive circular economy.
This circular thinking means that the focus should not be on the initial use, but also on the use of raw materials after use. Precious resources are reused and not wasted.
For the production of goods, this means that:
the raw materials used are biodegradable or
can be processed into new goods without loss.
What is assessed during certification?
